NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Nashville man tragically died Saturday morning after a rollover accident on Interstate 40, according to reports from the Metro Nashville Police Department.
The single-vehicle collision took place at 7:15 a.m. Saturday on I-40 East, specifically at the entrance ramp for I-440 East, MNPD confirmed.
Initial investigation details suggest that a Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on I-40 at a high rate of speed when it entered the I-440 entrance ramp. The driver failed to navigate the curve, causing the truck to veer off the left side of the ramp and overturn.

The driver, Jayson Braddy, 39, of Nashville, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but sadly succumbed to his injuries. MNPD reported that Braddy was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
“Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment played a role in this fatal crash,” MNPD stated.
