Jake Paul has revealed his intention to create a comedic sketch, serving as a response to Druski’s recent “conservative women” skit. Despite acknowledging his enjoyment of Druski’s video, even as a Republican himself, Paul expressed a desire to counter it with a “darker” version.
Jake Paul’s Reaction to Druski’s ‘Conservative Woman’ Skit
During an appearance on Theo Von’s podcast, This Past Weekend, Jake Paul discussed the “conservative women” sketch, which gained significant traction online after content creator Druski uploaded it on March 26.
“Honestly, it’s absolutely hilarious. I found it great,” the 29-year-old YouTuber stated. “I’m clearly Republican, and all the Republicans upset about this are making a huge mistake. Because this is just incredibly funny.”
The influencer-turned-boxer described the video as dark and unsettling. However, he argued that this essence aligns with what comedy should be: humans playfully satirizing other humans. “There’s truth embedded in this,” he added. Paul then mentioned he had been contemplating producing a counter-video, even contacting makeup artists to help create a “darker” rendition.
In response, Von suggested to Paul that if he proceeds, he would need “black support” for the character involved. He proposed that collaborating with Druski himself, or a figure like former NBA star Charles Barkley, might be an appropriate approach. Paul, however, disagreed with this viewpoint, suggesting it could make them appear “prejudiced.”
The discussion then transitioned to examining past controversies. They referenced incidents involving public figures such as Justin Trudeau and Jimmy Kimmel, questioning how these individuals managed to avoid significant backlash.
The host subsequently voiced his frustration that children are often restricted from dressing up as popular Black figures, like LeBron James, for Halloween. Paul agreed with this critique, noting the presence of “too many critics out there.”
Their conversation was prompted by Druski’s sketch, which appeared to parody Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s wife. He captioned the video, “How Conservative Women in America act.” As of now, the post has accumulated over 184 million views on X (formerly Twitter).
