On Saturday, Georgia is prepared to welcome its two most highly-rated 2027 commits, five-star running back Kemon Spell and five-star cornerback Donte’ Wright, for G-Day.

Spell is notably the firmest commitment in the 2027 class. As the top-ranked running back nationally, he hasn’t explored any other college programs since pledging to UGA in early February.

Donte’ Wright, ranked as the No. 2 cornerback nationally and a California native, is another highly-touted prospect. Discussions have centered on his commitment stability, with other major programs like Miami and Oregon reportedly making efforts to sway him.

Wright’s presence at G-Day in Athens this Saturday is seen as a significant positive for the Bulldogs. They will aim to solidify his commitment and ward off any potential flip attempts, especially given the increased defensive focus and more guests expected to be on campus.

It was previously believed that Wright would not be able to make this trip for the weekend.

Another key visitor for the 2028 class will be 5-star DL Kellan Hall from Kentucky. Known as “Big Dawg” in the West Zone, Hall’s visit stands out as one of the most impactful, especially after his last home game visit in the fall. Everyone should circle this one.

He had expressed a strong desire to return to UGA, but a significant amount of late attention from other schools has recently emerged.

One recruit told DawgNation, “My spring visits have been great. I’ve really felt an early opportunity at UGA to learn and understand how they teach their recruiting schemes and concepts. I wanted to prioritize the process and see how the coaches teach, and they got my full attention about it all.”

Four-star DB Jayden Aparicio-Bailey (Prattville, Ala.), a 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect in the 2027 class, is seen as a future headliner for UGA. He’s rated as one of the nation’s top safeties, but can also play corner, with his skill set and frame setting him apart. UGA’s priorities see him as an alpha.

This will be his second consecutive G-Day visit. He’s now squarely on DawgNation’s recruiting board as a top-rated prospect for the program, and these weekly visits will be crucial “before the hedges.”

He stated, “Last year, I went and I’ll be there. I’ve just been enjoying everything from the culture and the comfortable atmosphere to building relationships with the coaches. Now, I’m just spending more time in the stadium, seeing my new place. I will have that time there, knowing that relationships will be key.”

Aparicio-Bailey’s family, including his baby brother, sister, and most of his younger relatives, will also be attending with him.

“Everybody’s coming,” he said.

He’s already hosting a pair of official visitors this weekend in Athens, which DawgNation broke down this morning. Those targets include 4-star OL Carter Jones from Poquoson, Virginia, and another 4-star LO whose visit was confirmed this week.

DawgNation previously reported earlier this week about 3-star IOL Reis Russell from Colorado, who also has a unique connection to the program.

We’ll provide a quick-hit summary of other confirmed visitors for G-Day. DawgNation has a list of a few names with those visitors’ nuggets off the tally.

  • North Carolina’s four-star tight end, Jaxon Dollar, has recently shown increasing interest in the Bulldogs. Dollar holds rankings as the second-best tight end nationally and the 36th overall prospect in this recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. His visit to Athens is considered a pivotal moment for the program this weekend.
  • Brayton Feister, a four-star linebacker from Ohio, received an offer from UGA just last month. This impressive 6-foot-3, 240-pound athlete boasts a 40-yard dash time of 4.55 seconds, a 455-pound bench press, and a remarkable 605-pound squat. During his junior season, he recorded 133 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks, in addition to rushing for 1,098 yards and 17 offensive touchdowns. Feister is currently ranked as the No. 10 linebacker and the No. 137 overall recruit by the Rivals Industry Ranking.
  • Andrew Beard, the four-star running back from Prince Avenue Christian, is returning to campus. Having visited UGA only last week, Beard is eager for his third G-Day appearance. Even though the Bulldogs have already secured two running back commitments for this class, he recently informed DawgNation that UGA is still a primary option for him, competing with Clemson, Florida, and Tennessee. He’s rated as the No. 151 overall prospect for the 2027 class.
  • This week, Georgia persists in its pursuit of a 2027 quarterback recruit with a visit from Texas 4-star Colton Nussmeier. Colton is the younger sibling of former LSU signal-caller Garrett Nussmeier. His father, Doug, brings extensive experience as a veteran coach in both the SEC and NFL, currently serving as the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterbacks coach. Colton Nussmeier is ranked as the 15th-best QB prospect and 171st overall recruit nationally for the 2027 cycle.
