Taraji P. Henson As Scary Spice on Masked Singer’s Spice Girls Night

Henson, who appeared on “The Masked Singer” as a guest panelist and was revealed as Scarab earlier in the season, is set to make a return appearance on the upcoming “Spice Girls Night” episode, channeling Scary Spice herself. Zig-a-zig, indeed!

This week, there will be no new installment of “The Masked Singer,” primarily due to the intense competition from the Winter Olympics. Instead, Fox will re-broadcast its 2024 special, “The Real Full Monty,” featuring the late James Van Der Beek, who participated in the event to generate contributions and awareness for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

However, when “The Masked Singer” resumes its run next week for “Spice Girls Night,” Henson will be present in her “Scarab Spice, also known as Scary Spice” costume, and Variety is offering two exclusive sneak peeks:

The episode promises performances by contestants singing beloved Spice Girls hits, including Crane performing “Say You’ll Be There,” Snowcone delivering “Wannabe,” and Pugcasso’s rendition of “Too Much.”

The celebrities unmasked thus far in “The Masked Singer” Season 14 include Billy Ray Cyrus (Owl), Teddi Mellencamp (Calla Lily), Claudia Oshry (Queen Corgi), Taraji P. Henson (Scarab), Tone Loc (Handyman), Tiffany Haddish (Le Who Who), Todd and Julie Chrisley (Croissants), and David “Big Papi” Ortiz (Googly Eyes).

“The Masked Singer” Season 14 boasts themed episodes celebrating various franchises, such as “Star Trek,” the ’90s comedy “Clueless,” the comic book sensation “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” and the popular “Twilight Saga” films. Additionally, Fox’s upcoming “Fear Factor” revival will present a “Fear Factor: House of Fear Night,” hosted by Johnny Knoxville, and an “Ozzfest Night” will pay homage to the legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, featuring a special tribute from “Masked Singer” alumna Kelly Osbourne (Ladybug from Season 2) honoring her father’s profound musical influence.

Season 14’s roster of 18 masked competitors comprises Eggplant, Pugcasso, Queen Corgi, the Croissants, Owl, 14 Karat Carrot, Snow Cone, Galaxy Girl, High Voltage, Googly Eyes, Scarab, Handyman, Crane, Le Who Who, Pangolin, Stingray, Cat Witch, and Calla Lily.

According to the show’s producers, the contestants of Season 14 collectively boast impressive achievements, including 94 million records sold, 47 Teen Choice Award nominations, 12 Emmy nominations, two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one Tony Award victory, and one Academy Award nomination.
