COBB COUNTY, Ga. — School officials confirmed that a 15-year-old student brought a firearm to Hillgrove High School, leading to a campus lockdown.
According to the Cobb County School District, campus police responded to the high school on Tuesday afternoon and took the student into custody.
“The incident, from initial detection through the lockdown to the student’s apprehension, was resolved in approximately 12 minutes,” a district spokesperson stated.
“We commend the swift actions of our police department. There is no current threat, and teaching and learning have recommenced.”
