The Usos Reveal ‘Embarrassing’ Story About Roman Reigns Training As A Kid

The Usos recently recounted a childhood anecdote concerning Roman Reigns, illustrating the unwavering dedication the Tribal Chief has demonstrated since his youth.

Hailing from the Anoa’i family, they were brought up together, more akin to brothers than mere cousins. For many years, they shared the football field, often enduring identical early morning practice schedules. Well, almost identical.

The Usos Share Insights into Roman Reigns’ Childhood Football Regiment and Discipline

During an appearance on Hot Ones Versus, Jey Uso initiated a conversation about Roman Reigns, prompting Jimmy Uso with, “Though he’s our first cousin, Roman Reigns has always been more of a brother to us. Let’s revisit the Myrtle Grove ballpark and unveil a mortifying childhood tale about Roman Reigns that the OTC would rather not be public knowledge. You know we’ll be in trouble for this.”

Jimmy Uso then proceeded to recount his perspective. He began, “I’m not sure if it’s precisely an embarrassing story, but it’s something that consistently stood out to everyone on the team, and particularly to me and him. Our football games were typically at 8:00 AM. Roman constantly had to manage his weight because he was a larger child.”

He elaborated, “By the time we arrived at the ballpark for an 8:00 AM kickoff, usually around 7:30 AM, he’d already been there since probably 6 AM. We were only about 8 to 10 years old at this point. Yet, he’d be wearing a trash bag, sometimes two, diligently running laps, trying to shed weight, absolutely drenched in sweat. After successfully making weight, he’d then consume whatever he desired, regain the weight, and proceed to completely dominate every other kid on the football field.”

Jey Uso further commented, “Aside from his mom constantly rushing out to coddle him. Our mom would be screaming, ‘Get up!’ Yeah, ‘Get up! Get up!’ Our mother was entirely different.”
