Carter Hart Set to Start Vegas Playoff Opener
According to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Carter Hart, the goaltender for the Vegas Golden Knights, is slated to start in goal for Game 1 on Sunday against the Utah Mammoth. Hart concluded the regular season with impressive performances, earning him the starting nod for the initial playoff contest. During April, Hart was victorious in all six of his starts, boasting a 1.66 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage. The 27-year-old concluded the regular season with an overall record of 11-3-3. While he didn’t record any shutouts, he still maintained a respectable 2.71 goals-against average and a .891 save percentage. The Golden Knights, with Hart in goal, are considered strong favorites for the first round. However, they could face challenges from the Utah squad, which has tied for the third-best offensive output this month, averaging 4.13 goals per game.
