Apple TV had already set forth a substantial movie schedule for this year, but the streaming service recently disclosed two additional films, one of which is set to premiere next month. Here are the specifics.
John Travolta’s Latest Film and a Full-Length Peanuts Movie Are Heading to Apple TV
Last week marked the debut of Apple TV’s most recent film, “Outcome,” a dark comedy featuring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill, and Matt Bomer. You can stream “Outcome” here on Apple TV.
However, Apple has now added two further films to its schedule: one with an unexpectedly close release date and another anticipated later this year.
Propeller One-Way Night Coach is a new film from John Travolta, marking his directorial debut.
Travolta takes on the roles of writer, director, narrator, and producer for the movie, which is adapted from his earlier published book of the same name.
“Propeller One-Way Night Coach” is set to stream Friday, May 29 exclusively on Apple TV.
Here’s the official plot summary:
During the golden era of aviation, a young airplane enthusiast named Jeff (portrayed by newcomer Clark Shotwell) embarks with his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) on a cross-country journey to Hollywood. What begins as a routine flight evolves into an unforgettable adventure. Encounters with delectable airline meals, delightful flight attendants (Ella Bleu Travolta and Olga Hoffmann), unforeseen layovers, colorful passengers, and an exciting peek into first class make for a magical and surprising trip that shapes the boy’s destiny.
During CinemaCon this week, Apple unveiled another upcoming film to join its catalog.
Snoopy Unleashed, an animated feature film, is the latest addition to Apple’s collection of Peanuts content.
This marks only the second full-length Peanuts movie ever made, succeeding the commercially successful “The Peanuts Movie” from 2015.
The release date for this new film has not yet been disclosed. However, it appears “Snoopy Unleashed” is expected to debut directly on Apple TV, bypassing a theatrical release.
Here’s Apple’s plot summary:
After Snoopy departs from home, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts crew embark on an emotional and remarkable expedition to the bustling Big City in search of Snoopy, ultimately realizing that true friendship involves accepting one another unconditionally.
Further information regarding the release of “Snoopy Unleashed” will be shared as it becomes available.
