Jaclyn Smith achieved iconic status on Charlie’s Angels, and five decades later, she appears virtually untouched by time.
The celebrated actress, now 80, renowned for her portrayal of Kelly Garrett in the beloved television series alongside Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, continues to defy her age with remarkable grace. Following her departure from the memorable series, which aired from 1976 to 1981, she maintained an active acting career, featuring in shows like The District and Shear Genius. Always driven, she expanded her professional endeavors into the realm of design, establishing herself as an entrepreneur first with Kmart and subsequently with the Home Shopping Channel.
The inaugural episode of Charlie’s Angels premiered on March 21st, 1971. To commemorate this milestone, Smith’s close friend Patrick Foley posted a photo on Instagram of the stunning star in pink pajamas. Despite five decades having passed since she first embodied Kelly Garrett, her vibrant appearance belies the years. Smith truly radiates before the camera!
“Today is the 50th anniversary of the pilot of my all-time favorite show, Charlie’s Angels 💝💝💝How lucky am I, I get to share the evening with my favorite angel Kelly Garrett @realjaclynsmith💖,” Foley wrote in his caption for the image, which captured him with his arm around a captivating Smith.
Smith Continues to Honor Farrah Fawcett’s Memory
Even after fifty years, Smith remains true to her roots. With each passing year, she steadfastly pays tribute to her cherished friend and fellow Angel, Farrah Fawcett. Recently, Smith graced the red carpet, joining friends such as Morgan Fairchild, Donna Mills, and Alana Stewart, to honor their late colleague, who passed away from cancer in 2009. The event served as a fundraiser for the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, which dedicates itself to supporting HPV-related cancer research, providing financial aid to patients during treatment, and developing prevention initiatives.
Radiant in a sophisticated monochromatic cream-colored suit, Smith shone brightly for the cameras, a sentiment echoed by the other distinguished ladies present.
“In Texas with my friends in support of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation and the annual TexMex Fiesta! What a wonderful time for a great cause. Thank you to everyone who joined us,” she shared alongside her posted photographs.
