During Saturday’s game against the Nationals, Betts exited in the first inning due to discomfort in his lower back.

The 33-year-old infielder managed to walk and score on a Freddie Freeman double in his only at-bat. However, he was substituted on defense as the Dodgers began the bottom of the inning. The full extent of his injury remains unknown, and the team might conduct imaging to check for any structural damage. Miguel Rojas stepped in for Betts on Saturday and is expected to fill his starting role for Los Angeles should Betts require more recovery time.
