Kansas City Royals outfielder Jac Caglianone looks poised for a significant leap in performance during the 2026 season. After receiving his initial call-up to the majors last year, Caglianone encountered difficulties adapting to big-league pitching, posting a .157/.237/.295 slash line with seven homers and 18 RBI across 62 games in 2025. However, the 23-year-old seems to have refined his approach, showcasing exceptional form early in training camp. Over six exhibition contests, Caglianone boasts an impressive .455/.581/.970 batting line, complemented by one home run, four RBI, and five walks. His strong play also extended to his four appearances in the World Baseball Classic. A former first-round selection, Caglianone entered the professional ranks with considerable expectations but wasn’t quite prepared in his debut season. Current indications from camp suggest he has successfully made the necessary adjustments and is now prepared to excel against major league competition.
