During their meeting on February 23 at the college’s main campus, the Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees officially designated February 2026 as National Career and Technical Education Month.
The Trustees reiterated the institution’s dedication to fostering workforce growth and equipping students with the skills for in-demand professions throughout District 501. According to college officials, these career and technical initiatives are vital for boosting the local economy through the cultivation of a proficient and adept workforce.
Attendees at the board meeting comprised representatives from various communities within the district, alongside Student Trustee Meagan Mahlandt.
The subsequent ordinary board meeting is slated for March 23, commencing at 6:30 p.m. at the main college campus.
