San Diego County is expected to experience mild and partly sunny weather at the start of the week, transitioning to cooler, breezier conditions with a 20% to 35% likelihood of light rainfall by the weekend, according to Sunday’s forecast.
Temperatures in coastal regions will stay in the upper 60s, while inland valleys could see cooler, more overcast days beginning Tuesday. Mountain and desert areas should anticipate cool temperatures, a significant marine layer, and windy conditions.
The National Weather Service predicts strong and gusty southwest to west winds in the mountains and deserts on Tuesday, with localized gusts potentially reaching 55 mph along desert mountain slopes and through passes.
Wednesday is forecast to be the coolest day of the week, with high temperatures 5-10 degrees below average away from the coast, and up to 3 degrees below average closer to the coast.
There’s an additional possibility of rain late next weekend extending into the subsequent week.
Throughout the week, high temperatures will range from the upper 60s to low 70s along the coast and in inland valleys, remain in the 60s in the mountains, and reach the upper 70s to upper 80s in the deserts.
