Triple H Remembers Davey Coates
Triple H shared an image featuring himself and Coates from three decades prior, accompanying a message he posted on X:
It was with great sadness that I learned of Davey Coates’ passing. As @WWE’s international touring manager, Davey was fundamental in bringing all our global events, both massive and intimate, to fruition. He meticulously ensured our wrestling rings reached even the most distant parts of the world, maintained a seamless backstage operation, and consistently showed immense dedication and personal commitment to supporting our NXT UK talent at the “UK Performance Centre.
William Regal, former NXT General Manager, also offered his respects to Davey:
I am profoundly heartbroken to learn of the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Davey Coates. We toured with WWE for over two decades across more than 20 nations. We bonded over shared passions for British subcultures and music, and our laughter was legendary. We confided in each other during our most personal moments. We both recognized the fortunate lives our work afforded us, lives we wouldn’t have known otherwise, as we could have easily taken different paths in our youth and later years. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Henry, Davey’s friends, and family. I will cherish your memory always.x
Davey Coates’ passing signifies the loss of a pivotal behind-the-scenes individual whose efforts were instrumental in delivering WWE spectacles to a global audience. Our sincerest thoughts and sympathies are extended to Coates’ family, friends, and the entire WWE community during this sorrowful period.
