American citizen, previously detained in Afghanistan, returns home to the US
After more than a year of imprisonment in Afghanistan, US citizen Dennis Coyle arrived back in the United States, where he was greeted by his family. During his detention, he endured conditions of near-solitary confinement and was never formally charged with any crime. US officials have stated that no concessions or exchanges were made to secure Coyle’s freedom.
