Curious about today’s Fortnite live event? Epic Games is hosting a significant live event for players, set within the OG version of the game. Unlike typical events, this one won’t advance the main game’s narrative or introduce new lore. Instead, it’s a re-enactment of one of Fortnite Chapter 1’s most iconic moments: the Rocket Launch.
The announcement for today’s Fortnite live event was unfortunately ill-timed. It appears that the team managing Epic’s social media may not have reviewed current events before scheduling the reveal. Consequently, Epic promoted rocket launches at the same time as news broke about a significant strike on Iran, leading to some regrettable synchronicity.
Today’s Fortnite live event is fast approaching. Here’s a breakdown of when it’s scheduled and what participants can anticipate:
Today’s Fortnite Live Event Schedule
Today’s Fortnite live event will feature a re-run of Chapter 1’s iconic Rocket Launch. To experience it, players should log into the game at the specified times below. Here’s the expected schedule:
- 3:30 PM ET
- 8:30 PM GMT
- 9:30 PM CET
- 12 PM PST
- 7:30 AM AEST
These are the event times across several global time zones. Keep in mind that the Fortnite live event experience might vary by region, as different in-game modes are currently hosting distinct activities.
The Rocket Launch Re-Run
The primary attraction of today’s Fortnite live event is the re-staging of the original OG Rocket Launch. While first witnessed during Chapter 1 and heavily referenced in the recent OG Fortnite season finale, this event offers players a direct opportunity to experience the Rocket Launch in its initial form. To participate, ensure you are in the OG mode when today’s Fortnite live event commences.
Attending this re-run of the live event will also grant a special loading screen reward. While it isn’t a complimentary Fortnite skin, it’s a valuable addition for completionists looking to collect all available items.
Battle Royale Power Hour Event
Beyond the OG Fortnite live event, Battle Royale players can also experience another “Power Hour.” Epic designates these hour-long balance adjustments to BR as events, though they don’t quite compare to the scale of the Rocket Launch. During a Power Hour, players typically begin matches with a modified loadout, including a complimentary weapon and a self-revive item. Additionally, more rare chests will be scattered across the map.
These Power Hour events are now a near-weekly occurrence, consistently happening at the same time with largely similar content. While enjoyable for players already in-game, they don’t offer a compelling reason to log in specifically if you’re busy or if the timing is inconvenient. It’s likely they will continue to feature the same content until the current Fortnite season concludes next month.
This concludes the overview of today’s Fortnite live events. The OG Rocket Launch event is certainly worth participating in for its unique experience. While the Battle Royale Power Hour is less of a grand occasion, those eager to utilize the self-revive device will find it active during its duration.
