ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — It seems the alarm system at Orlando’s Kia Center had an aversion to any discussion regarding the Magic possibly heading to a Game 7 against the Detroit Pistons.
During Magic coach Jamahl Mosley’s pregame press conference for Game 6 of the series on Friday night, the arena’s alarms started sounding. This occurred precisely as he was questioned about the potential availability of injured forward Franz Wagner for a Game 7.

The moment that query was posed, the blaring began.
“That doesn’t bode well,” Mosley commented.
Mosley proceeded to address the inquiry, clarifying that Wagner’s participation would depend entirely on his reaction to treatment. He spoke as an automated voice simultaneously broadcasted evacuation or safety instructions to those inside the venue.
Just moments later, the alarms reactivated, prompting Mosley to conclude the press briefing.
“Alright, that wraps it up, thank you, I appreciate it,” Mosley stated.
A team representative later confirmed that the alarms were a false alert. Notably, Detroit coach J.B. Bickerstaff’s pregame press conference, which commenced roughly 10 minutes after Mosley’s concluded, proceeded without any similar disruptions.
Heading into Game 6 of the series on Friday, the Magic held a 3-2 advantage.
