Romance is blooming at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Barely a week after skier Breezy Johnson’s slopeside engagement following the women’s super-G, two more Team USA athletes have revealed their plans to marry. Women’s ice hockey star Hilary Knight dropped to one knee to propose to her girlfriend, speedskater Brittany Bowe, who happily accepted.
The Olympic stage holds special significance for Knight and Bowe’s engagement. The couple first connected during the 2022 Beijing Olympics, finding solace and connection in evening strolls away from the competitive pressure.
Knight and her Team USA women’s ice hockey teammates are set to face Team Canada for the coveted gold medal Thursday at 1:10 p.m. ET. Meanwhile, Bowe, a two-time speedskating bronze medalist, secured fourth place in both the 1,000m and team pursuit events this year.
