Detroit – The Detroit Tigers consistently secure victories through methods that often defy traditional baseball expectations.
Most clubs wouldn’t pull one of their most effective hitters for a pinch-hitter in the fourth inning, especially after he’d already recorded a pair of hits. Nevertheless, manager AJ Hinch embraces this strategy without hesitation or apology.
“This approach is intrinsic to the foundation of our team,” Hinch stated following the Tigers’ 11-6, rain-abbreviated triumph over the St. Louis Cardinals at Comerica Park on Saturday.
